Aldwyck continues progress as an inclusive organisation


At Aldwyck, we consider equality and diversity a part of our DNA and all that we do.


Our aim is to ensure that we remain focussed on providing a workplace where employees feel comfortable to be themselves and to provide the best service to our customers. It’s also about understanding the communities in which we work to ensure that our services are tailored to those needs.


That’s why we’re excited to share our latest Equality and Diversity Report Summary, aimed to highlight our approach to building a truly inclusive organisation.


Throughout 2018, we made great strides through our equality and diversity efforts. Some of the highlights from last year include:

•           Paying the UK Living Wage to improve the salaries of our lower paid, and predominantly female employees

•           We welcomed nine local 16-17-year olds into the business from our local customer base in partnership with the EY Foundation’s ‘Our Future’ Employability and work experience programme

•           We provided over 120 internal aids and adaptations to help customers live more comfortably, safely and independently in their homes

•           Our Supported Housing Team has learnt Makaton to help them communicate with the people they support
