Housing and services for younger people
Young Persons Service
Our Young Persons Service (YPS) is the largest provider of supported accommodation for young people in Hertfordshire. We have over 170 young people living in one of our 20 properties covering eight of the ten local authority districts within the county.
During their stay young people must engage in education, training or employment as well as working on attaining a wide range of life skills that will enable them to manage a tenancy successfully once they leave our projects. This can be achieved through our custom-made AQA programme that recognises the achievements of our young people with a widely recognised qualification.
There are many additional opportunities for young people to get involved in a large range of activities designed to be fun, fulfilling and to help them reach a level of independence that allows them to move on successfully.
We have also added a page with the answers to a number of Frequently Asked Questions.
