This week (17 to 23 June) is Learning Disability Week so we thought we’d take this opportunity to tell the world about our wonderful Supported Housing team.
Our Supported Housing service
Our Supported Housing service provides homes and support to people experiencing mental health problems, and those with physical or learning disabilities. We work in partnership with councils and other organisations to provide this service to over 600 people across Herts and Beds. We help people who need support to live independent and fulfilling lives in homes that meet their needs.
We focus on people’s strengths
The support we offer varies according to individual need, but is focused on people’s strengths, helping them to develop the skills they need to manage their home, to build positive relationships and to be involved in the community. To achieve this, our team works closely with families and other agencies – this is known as the ‘Connected Lives’ approach.
