How to claim Universal Credit
Universal Credit is paid in arrears every month into your bank account; this means that you will get one single monthly payment for your household.
Any help you receive with your rent will be included in the payment and it is your responsibility to pay your rent to Aldwyck on time.
Universal Credit has been introduced in stages across UK and is now available to all single jobseekers in Great Britain, couples and families in some jobcentre areas. In May of this year, it was rolled out to our Bedford customers.
Universal Credit “full service” is where an applicant makes a new benefit claim or an existing customer has a change of circumstances irrespective of their household size.
Please see when Universal Credit full service will be rolled out in your area Universal Credit roll out diary 2017-18.
Please note - This video shows the service as of June 2017.
